Lavender-Citrus Champagne
Dress up your New Years Party with this upscale champagne cocktail. One sip and “never drink bubbly without grapefruit juice and lavender” is bound to be your top New Years resolution.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh lavendar
- 4 ½ cups grapefruit juice
- 2 bottles (750 mililiters each) Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar and lavender. Bring to a boil.
- Boil until sugar is dissolved, about 1 minute.
- Cool completely.
- Strain sugar syrup through a sieve and discard lavender.
- Just before serving, in a pitcher, combine lavender syrup, juice and Champagne.
- Serve over ice, immediately.
