Wheatgrass Smoothie with Mint and Pineapple

Combining the sweet citrus flavor of oranges and limes with the tropical taste of pineapple, the cool freshness of mint, and the zing of wheatgrass, this smoothie is a quick and easy breakfast or a fast pick-me-up after a hard workout.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots (or circles) of wheatgrass
  • ¼ cup tightly packed fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple
  • 1 cup of fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup of fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons of agave nectar (depending on taste)
  • 2/3 cup of ice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.

Quick Notes

If smoothie is too thick, extra water, orange juice, or lime juice can be added. If smoothie is too thin, extra pineapple can be incorporated.

Variations

Try subbing in lemon verbena or even fresh basil in place of the mint for an interesting twist on this refreshing favorite.
