Wining and dining some potential new clients tonight! Fortunately, Ben is sleeping over at a friend’s, so I don’t have to do teenage dinner duty. And even luckier—Tom’s bringing home Thai take-out from our go-to, local joint. We went over the menu this morning: spring rolls for six, two large containers of tom yum soup, panang curry with chicken for four, green curry with tofu for two, and pad thai for everyone.  But I’m not completely off the hook.  Tom had the sneaky (but brilliant!) idea to try to pass the meal off as a home-cooked one by adding a few of our own touches. So, I’m off to the store to buy fresh cilantro, mint, chives, and Thai basil as well as some salted peanuts and fresh limes. Once I get home, I’m chopping everything up and throwing it on the take-out just before the guests walk in the door. If we play this right, we could get reputations as real cooks!
