sideDish: Stuffed Pumpkin

There’s nothing like a good food podcast, and one of the best is called just that.  Good Food with host Evan Kleiman is a weekly radio show and podcast about the food scene in Los Angeles, California.  Discussing everything from what’s in season at the local farmers markets to how to use it to cook supper, Kleiman’s show is a boon to Californians and a good excuse for the rest of the nation to dream about the California climate.  A joy to listen to, Good Food can be downloaded for free on itunes.

Recently, Kleiman has started a second, shorter podcast  called sideDish (also available on itunes). Only five minutes in length, this speedy dose of epicurianism is a fun way to keep up with foodie culture and a quick and easy opportunity to get dinner ideas.  Last week, Kleiman had on one of her favorite, recurring guests Dorie Greenspan, who shared this recipe for stuffed pumpkin.  Filled with bread, bacon, gooey cheese, fresh thyme, and fresh chives for a bit of oniony kick, this pumpkin is more than just a festive decoration; it’s a feast.
