Mango and Grapefruit Salad with Summer Basils
Sweet mango and tangy grapefruit are the perfect pairing for the light basil and honey dressing drizzled over this summer fruit salad.
Ingredients
- 3 mangoes, peeled and sliced
- 2 grapefruit, peeled and cut into sections (or suprèmed)
- 2 tbsps. honey
- ¼ cup of lime juice
- pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp. of finely chopped Thai basil (plus more for garnish)
- 2 tbsps. of finely chopped purple basil (plus more for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice mangoes by cutting around the pit, scoring fruit flesh, and peeling or cutting it away from the skin.
- Suprème grapefruit by cutting away the fruit’s peel and pith with a sharp knife and then slicing the fruit segments away from the inner membrane.
- Arrange mango and grapefruit on four plates.
- Mix lime juice, honey, salt, and basils together in a small bowl. Then drizzle dressing over the fruit plates.
- Garnish with more fresh Thai and purple basil to serve.
Variations
