Mint Syrup
Mint syrup is a wonderful thing to have on hand in the summer months--it makes throwing together cooling sodas, teas, and cocktails quick and easy. Plus, mint syrup is a snap to make. If you can boil water, you can make this syrup! With this in your fridge, mint juelps and mojitos are never more than minutes away.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 oz. fresh mint
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
- Remove syrup from heat and add mint (stems and all); muddle and let steep overnight.
- Strain syrup through a mesh sieve. Syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.
