Rosemary Cucumber Gin & Tonic by Chef Ryan Zale

Dress up your gin and tonic using fresh rosemary. This is a nice, refreshing drink that is great to add to your next patio or grilling party.

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber, seedless
  • 1 lime
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 ounces Hendrick's Gin
  • 4 ounces tonic water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Peel one half of a cucumber, and slice into medium thick circles.
  2. Zest the lime then cut into wedges.
  3. In a martini shaker, add 1 sprig of rosemary, lime zest, a few ice cubes and 1 ounce of gin.
  4. Shake well to release the flavors of the rosemary and lime.
  5. Strain through a strainer into a highball glass.
  6. Add several cubes of ice and three slices of cucumber.
  7. Top with remaining gin and tonic.
  8. Serve garnished with rosemary sprigs and lime wedge.

Notes

To dress up the presentation, slice the cucumber long-ways using a slicer. Stick the slices to the outside of your glass before filling with the drink.
